It is important that all children in our community have access to programs that promote physical activity. Our goal is to dramatically increase participation of children from low-income families in recreation programs by breaking down the barriers to participation.Youth scholarship activation is up considerably. In 2018, the Montrose Rec District will award over 500 youth program scholarships, plus 120-150 punch pass scholarships for the Rec Center and Field House. Each scholarship pays for one-half of the program fees. The family is responsible for the other half of the fees. A scholarship is approximately $21-$35 depending on the program.
Currently, children that qualify for free and reduced lunch (FRL), or other similar support programs, are eligible for scholarships through the Montrose Recreation District.
Thank you for helping us keep Montrose youth active!
